The app also offers all the features you expect from a video editor, like multiple video and audio tracks, retiming, audio and video effects, etc. It obviously includes the regular ones, like slide, wipe, fade, but it has a few others that are very interesting. The software also includes a lot of different transitions. All the titles are customizable, so you can change the font and the colors to suit your needs. DaVinci Resolve includes a wide variety of title templates you can use for your videos. One thing to keep in mind is how you drop the clip, as you can drop it in the middle of two clips (and there’s a visual cue to let you know that’s what you are doing) or you can drop it on top of another clip, which will trim that clip. You can use either one to scroll through your timeline, but the navigation takes a little bit to get used to, since the bottom timeline has a fixed “current time” indicator (the long red vertical line) that cannot be moved.Īrranging clips on the DaVinci Resolve timeline is pretty easy, and all you have to do is drag and drop, so one clip is moved before or after another clip. While you can do this very easily in DaVinci Resolve, I really missed the “set start” and “set end” buttons I have in Adobe Premiere Pro, because I had to manually drag the start and finish indicators to define a clip.Īs you place more clips on your timeline, you are presented with a big “global” timeline on top, and the clips timeline at the bottom.
